Beryl's Pepperpot

Sooo GOOD. Chicken Roti, Jerk Chicken , Fried Chicken, all really really good.
When I'm out of country for work, its always my first meal back in Canada
(sorry honey). Always one of my favourites.

Their oxtail , curry goat and jerk chicken are amazing. We ordered party sizes last Christmas and all our relatives who haven't tasted Jamaican food said that they were delicious even the kids. All the best Beryl thank you.

We had Beryl's Pepperpot cater our office functions I've also used them to cater for our large family gatherings and of course our individual breakfast, lunch and dinners on the run. We are never disappointed.

Thanks to all the staff at Beryl's Pepperpot for doing such an amazing job! We truly appreciate all the great WI meals you provide us, just the way Grammy, Mommy and Aunty make it!

I am a regular here and LOVE the stewed chicken. The only problem if you don't get there before 5 pm ...... they are usually sold out!!!!( Yummy in my tummy!!

When i tasted the curry goat for the first time i couldn't believe how good it tasted. For all the years i tried to find a eatery that prepare good curry goat without any luck but now i can say i have. I will always come back to sample the menu.

I was surprised to be told that this restaurant had been around for 5 years. We recently heard about it from a few friends...who gave it rave reviews, so we decided to try it. it was a little hard to find, but well worth the trouble. The food here is AWESOME!!! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I think we have beeen there often enough now to have tried just about everything on the menu....and it never disappoints. Oxtail, jerk chicken and pork, curry chicken (the rotis are my favourite), stew peas, curry goat. my kids love the fry chicken. We were even lucky enough to try the breakfast one Saturday morning. i never knew liver could taste so good...and the ackee and saltfish...yummy.
If you want cooking dat really taste like it come from Yaad or yuh modda dutch pot...Beryl's Pepperpot is the place to be. Great food, great service and reasonable prices.

This is such an amazing and delicious restaurant. Have been eating here for about 4 years now. My Mom holds an annual travel party every year and we always order from Beryl!! There are barely any left overs after because the jerk food is wonderful!!! I love how they have the daily specials! I am there every Thursday now for JERK CHICKEN!!! It reminds me of being in Jamaica and having it on the side of the road at a jerk pit! Absolutely Incredible!!! You have to try it for yourself!!!

We have become regulars'. Take out every Friday dinner and take out many Saturday breakfasts. The food is consistently excellent. Authentic and the service personal and friendly. It is worth finding this gem in the commercial plaza in Ajax / Durham.

The food is absolutely delicious, oxtail, curried goat, tripe, jerk chicken and pork...whatever you get you will never be disappointed. You can also call in to pre-order and just pick up and go. The staff is extremely friendly. Beryl always has a smile for you. This is authentic Jamaican cooking. A MUST HAVE

I went in shortly after it opened. One would think it would be fresh. OMG! I ordered the 1/2 lb jerk pork and teh large oxtail dinner. AWFUL! The pork was thick and chewy overcooked w/ just a hint of jerk flavour. It appeared to be leftover - day old....It was disgusting. I had to throw it away. Now for the oxtail mediocre. It was bland....lots of oil. I dare not ask for hot sauce on the side (as I normally do) for they charge to pour from the bottle you buy at No Frills into a take out cup!! It's like paying for ketchup!!! The chicken roti was okay...and in terms of anything in Durham, I'll go back only for that. I will NEVER pay for the overpriced oxtail or the disgusting jerk pork. Shame on Beryl's for even offering that for $5.50!

The food is absolutely amazing, curry goat, ox-tail and jerk chicken with rice and peas, to die for. When I don't have the time to do it myself, which is quite often and I want a taste of jamaica I go to Beryl's, you will not be dissapointed. Trust me.

Amazing /restaurant. I usually don't like Ackee and Salt fish that much But one day My husband decided to get it and boy I was so amazing it was the best I ever had her curry gooat and oxtail best in Town. The staf is very friendly.

The oxtail is to die for.. The portions are great for the money you spend. People behind the counter are pleasent and welcoming. If you are a ox tail lover I highly suggest you have a dinner with Beryls pepperpot. You wont be disapointed

Awesome food and great staff. Their cornmeal and sweet potato puddings along with their seasonal easter bun are must haves. The only problem is that there is not enough of Beryl's around. Downtown Toronto and the rest of the GTA is calling you...franchise it out please!

The food is excellent. The Jerk Pork is fantastic. Ah can't forget obout the Easter Bun....trust me is the best in the T'dot.

How can we express how much I enjoy Beryl's food? Well, can we say... ** LOVE IT** !!! Everything I've tried is AMAZING!! But my all time favourite is the Jerk Pork. OMG!!! It is the best, most succulent, flavourful piece of meat that you could EVER taste. I was hooked from the first bite. Hmmm mmm mmm. Being from Jamaica, I am no stranger to Jerk, but for all my 30 years here, I've NEVER had restaurant/take-out Jerk that even comes close to Beryl's. The real bummer is that I live in Etobicoke & work downtown, with not many trips to Ajax. Woe is me, but it's damn worth the drive out there every once in a while for a real treat!!
